Guidelines for Parents
Parents play a vital role in their child’s success with music lessons. By cheering them on, celebrating milestones, and taking pride in their progress, you become an active partner in their musical journey.
Children love to share what they’ve learned—so ask them to play a favourite piece (yours or theirs) and let them bask in your applause. Frequent praise and encouragement fuel their excitement and motivation, especially when their accomplishments are shared with friends and family.
For younger students under 7, parents are warmly encouraged to attend private lessons and continue the learning at home. Since a week can feel like a long stretch for a child, your support in reviewing assignments mid-week can make all the difference—helping them stay focused, remember new skills, and grow with confidence.
