Practising

Developing performance skills involves physical, intellectual, and artistic development; we practise to learn, and to perform with joy and confidence.

 

Some tips to make the most out of your practice time:​
  • Stick to a regular practice routine... if you miss a day, no worries! Just make it up the next day!

  • Try to practice at the same time each day for consistency.

  • Practice on a fantastic instrument that inspires you! 

  • Keep distractions to a minimum for maximum focus.

  • Set realistic and specific weekly and long-term goals to keep you motivated.

  • Create a fun practice schedule, or ask your teacher to help you craft one!

  • Don’t forget to take breaks! For example, practice for 20 minutes take a 10-minute exercise break, then dive back in for another 20 minutes of awesome practice!
