Dear students, families, Halton Hills Today, and Halton Hills community,
I am deeply grateful and proud to share that Halton Hills Today has named
Halton Hills Piano the winner in the 2025 Reader Favourite Awards. This
recognition means so much to me as a piano teacher, especially as a long-
time Halton Hills resident.
For many years, I have had the joy of teaching young musicians here in our
community, of watching them grow not only in musicianship, but in confidence,
creativity, and community spirit. To be voted for this award by people who
know us—students, neighbours, fellow music lovers—feels like the greatest
recognition I could hope for.
I’m truly honored that this award reflects the support of the families I’ve had
the privilege of working with—and that together we’re making a real difference
not only in their children’s educational journeys but also in our local
community. Your trust, encouragement, and dedication to music education are
what inspire and propel us forward every day. To my students, your dedication
and willingness to grow—even when it’s challenging—are what make this
possible.
Thank you to Halton Hills Today for facilitating these Readers’ Choice Awards,
for highlighting local businesses and individuals, and for allowing us to share
our passion.
Thank you to everyone who voted, recommended me, and provided feedback.
Thank-you to the parents who tirelessly bring their children to their lessons,
supervise their home practising, and bring their extended families and friends
to the recitals. Thank-you, especially, to my students, you inspire me every
day.
Moving forward, let’s continue to fill our homes and neighbourhoods with
music. If you’re not yet part of our piano family, I would be delighted to
welcome you to my studio to nourish your love of music and coach your
musical development.
Thank you again for this award, for your trust, and for being part of Halton
Hills Piano’s story.
With gratitude and joy,
Sharon Dutton
